In Mykolaiv, a motorcycle overturned on a bend while driving: the driver died, the passenger was hospitalized
In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle. The driver died and the passenger was injured in the accident.
This was reported to the police of the Mykolaiv region.
As noted, the incident occurred on October 12 at around 1:20 p.m. near the intersection of Oleksy Almazova and Morekhodna streets. According to preliminary data, the 45-year-old driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle, moving from Bila Street towards Central Avenue, lost control on a curved section of the road and allowed the vehicle to roll over.
The emergency medical team quickly arrived at the scene. Medics performed resuscitation measures, but were unable to save the driver’s life. The 47-year-old passenger of the motorcycle was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
Investigators from the regional police headquarters’ investigative department are currently working at the scene of the accident, investigating the circumstances of the accident. Patrol officers are ensuring traffic safety for other road users.
Law enforcement officers are interviewing witnesses to the incident and conducting primary investigative actions. Previously, criminal proceedings will be initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules, which led to the death of a person or serious bodily injury.
