In Mykolaiv, a police car hit a pedestrian: details of the accident

A traffic accident involving a police car occurred in Mykolaiv, injuring a pedestrian. The man received minor injuries, his condition is not of concern.

This is reported by the police of the Mykolaiv region.

The traffic accident occurred on December 13 at around 7:00 p.m. on 3-ya Slobidska Street in Mykolaiv. The Renault Logan police car was moving in the direction of Central Avenue.

According to preliminary information, a 38-year-old pedestrian was crossing the roadway in an undesignated place when he was hit by a police car.

“At the time of the accident, the police officer of Police Department No. 1 of the Mykolaiv Regional Department, who was driving, according to the results of the Drager breathalyzer test, was sober. The 38-year-old pedestrian received minor injuries,” the Mykolaiv Region Police Communications Department reported.

Upon the fact of violation of traffic rules, which led to damage to vehicles, patrol police officers, on behalf of the State Bureau of Investigation, prepared an administrative case against a pedestrian under Article 124 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The case was sent to the court for further consideration.

In addition, the leadership of the regional police headquarters has ordered an official investigation into this traffic accident.

Earlier, on December 12, at around 9:10 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on the Zhytomyr-Chernivtsi highway near the village of Antonivtsi . As a result of the accident, the driver of one of the cars died, and two more people were injured and hospitalized.

By the way, a serious road accident involving a school bus occurred in the Kamyansk district of the Dnipropetrovsk region . Two people died as a result of the accident, and seven more, including a child, were injured.

As a reminder, in Pryluky, Chernihiv region , a patrol police car ran over two people at a pedestrian crossing, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to a woman.
