New shelters and facilities for storing Geran-type strike drones are being built at the Gvardiyske military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported by OSINT analyst Dnipro Osint ⟨Garbuz⟩, publishing satellite images of the object.
According to him, more than 20 small shelters protected by earthen embankments have appeared on the airfield, as well as about 40 smaller structures similar to garages. They can be used for storage, maintenance and preparation of drones for launch.
At the same time, satellite images also show the effects of previous Ukrainian attacks. In particular, at least one hangar suffered damage that an analyst attributes to a drone strike.

The analyst called the use of mobile launch platforms instead of stationary installations a special feature of this airfield. Drones are loaded onto specially equipped vehicles, from which they are then launched from the runway.

Thus, the airfield infrastructure involves not only the placement of drones, but also their preparation for launch using mobile platforms.
It was previously reported that a new site for the preparation and launch of Geran-5 jet attack drones has appeared in the Rostov region of Russia. The Russians equipped the main infrastructure in about a month and a half.
