In Odessa, a man with a knife attacked employees of the Trade Center while they were on duty. The injured person was hospitalized and is in stable condition.

The incident occurred today, February 14, in the Primorsky district of Odessa. The joint alert group stopped a citizen to check his military registration documents.

“Even before the start of the verification procedure, the person committed an armed attack using a knife. As a result of the armed attack, one of the servicemen was injured,” the Odessa Regional CCC reported.

After the attack, the group’s personnel provided emergency medical assistance to the wounded serviceman. The attacker took advantage of the situation and fled the scene.

“The injured serviceman was promptly hospitalized. He is currently being provided with the necessary medical care. His condition is stable,” the institution added.

Investigative actions and measures to establish the whereabouts and detention of the attacker are currently underway. The legal qualification of the incident must be provided by the authorized bodies within the framework of criminal proceedings.
