In Odessa region, a drunk driver of a BMW crashed into a tree: there is a fatality

On the night of June 15, a fatal accident occurred in the Odessa region: a drunk 18-year-old driver of a BMW X5 lost control and crashed into a tree. The accident occurred on the T-1639 highway in the Kuyalnitsky community.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odessa Oblast.

As a result of the collision, a 17-year-old passenger of the car died. Two other young people – 18 and 20 years old – received bodily injuries and were hospitalized. The driver, who was intoxicated, was detained.

The police opened a criminal case on the fact of violating traffic safety rules while intoxicated, which resulted in the death of a person. The driver faces up to 10 years in prison and deprivation of the right to drive. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing and the necessary examinations have been ordered.
