In Orsk, drivers are lining up en masse at gas stations: gasoline is being sold with restrictions
On the night of August 11, drones attacked the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg Oblast, Russia. After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise, and the city began to record problems with fuel supply and queues at gas stations.
This is reported by Russian sources.
According to them, after the attack, fuel shortages occurred in Orsk. Local residents began to line up at gas stations, trying to buy gasoline.
Meanwhile, fuel problems in Orsk had been evident even before the attack. In July, local journalists reported that drivers had to spend hours searching for gas stations with gasoline, and long lines formed at some gas stations.
Orsknefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. The plant is located in Orsk and has a processing capacity of about 6.6 million tons of oil per year.
The enterprise produces about 30 types of petroleum products, including automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, bitumen, and lubricants.
The plant has facilities for primary oil refining, catalytic reforming, hydrotreating of diesel fuel and kerosene, as well as the production of lubricants and bitumen.
Thus, possible disruptions in the operation of the enterprise can directly affect the region’s fuel supply, especially against the background of problems that have already been recorded at local gas stations.
At the same time, information about the exact extent of damage to Orsknefteorgsintez and the duration of possible fuel supply disruptions is currently being clarified.
As a reminder, in Russia, on the morning and night of August 11, a series of large-scale fires were reported at industrial facilities in several regions at once. The fires were recorded at the Komsomolsk Oil Refinery in the Khabarovsk Territory, on the territory of the Wildberries logistics complex in the Voronezh Region, as well as in Orsk and Angarsk.
