A Polish defense ministry employee was caught collaborating with foreign intelligence. The court remanded the man in custody for 3 months.
This was announced by the Polish Minister-Coordinator of Special Services, Tomasz Siemoniak.
“The court has ordered a three-month arrest of an employee of the Ministry of National Defense suspected of collaborating with foreign intelligence services,” the report says.
He added that the defendant was detained on February 3 at the request of the prosecutor following the actions and conclusions of the Military Counterintelligence Service.
According to unofficial information, an employee of the defense department collaborated with the Russians.
Earlier, 11 Ukrainian citizens and three Russians and Belarusians were convicted in Poland for spying for Russia . Among those convicted were mainly young men from different regions of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) conducted a successful operation to identify and detain three more individuals who were members of the Russian spy network.
