In Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast, the death toll from a Russian strike has risen to 18. Four children are among the dead.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Another 55 people were injured, including seven children.
“The number of people killed in the Russian strike on Pryluky in the Chernihiv region has increased to 18 people, including four children,” the State Emergency Service reported.
15 apartment buildings and 16 private houses were also damaged in the city. The exact number of damaged objects is still being determined.
The elimination of the consequences of the attack is ongoing. Rescuers are dismantling the destroyed structures and examining the rubble. All emergency services are working on the scene.
Russian troops attacked Pryluky on the morning of October 7. Three days of mourning were declared in the city due to the deaths.
Earlier it was reported that nine people, including three children, were killed in a Russian missile strike in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. Another 40 people were injured, including seven children. Rescuers continued to clear the rubble of a destroyed high-rise building.
