On the night of August 10, Russia reported a massive drone attack on several regions, including the city of Saratov, where a fire broke out near an oil refinery.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this.

During the night of August 9-10, air defense systems allegedly shot down 29 drones over Krasnodar Krai, 15 over occupied Crimea, 13 over Bryansk Oblast, 12 over Belgorod Oblast, 9 over Voronezh Oblast, 8 over Saratov Oblast, 7 and 6 over Tula Oblast, 5 over Rostov Oblast, 4 over Ryazan Oblast, 2 over the waters of the Sea of Azov, and one each over Smolensk, Oryol, and Tver Oblasts.

Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin reported that one of the drones fell into the courtyard of a multi-story building, killing one person and injuring several others.

Local Telegram channels note that Saratov’s target could have been an oil refinery. The Astra publication adds that the city’s airport was temporarily suspended during the attack.
