In Stryi, a 10-year-old cyclist hit a 3-year-old boy
A traffic accident involving two young children — a 10-year-old cyclist and a 3-year-old boy — occurred in the city of Stryi, Lviv region. The younger child was injured and hospitalized.
This was reported by the Lviv region police.
The incident occurred on May 26 at around 5:45 p.m. on Kossaka Street. According to preliminary information from law enforcement, a 10-year-old local resident, riding a bicycle, hit a 3-year-old boy who was nearby.
“As previously established by law enforcement, the cyclist, a 10-year-old local resident, hit a three-year-old local resident,” the police report said.
As a result of the collision, the younger boy received injuries. He was taken to a medical facility, where doctors provided the necessary assistance.
Following the incident, investigators from the Stryi District Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of current transport rules).
Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
