The prosecutor’s office sent the case to court, an indictment against a 60-year-old resident of Sumy, who, while intoxicated, opened fire with a gun and wounded 6 teenagers who refused to vacate the bench.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office of Sumy Region.
According to the investigation, on December 9, 2025, six teenagers were standing under the entrance when a local resident made a rude remark to them and asked them to vacate the bench. When the children did not react, he returned to the apartment, took an IZH-43 rifle, loaded it with homemade 12-gauge cartridges, went out onto the 10th floor landing, shone a flashlight on it, and opened aimed fire on the children.
Four girls and two boys aged 13 to 16 were injured.
It is noted that the man was intoxicated.
In particular, the actions of the accused are qualified as an attempted murder of six children for hooligan motives.
He is currently under house arrest. The investigation has been completed.
Earlier , “Pryamiy” reported that in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a driver who opened fire in the Obolonskyi district of the capital during a traffic conflict. As a result of the incident, a 41-year-old man received a gunshot wound, and the suspect faces up to 7 years in prison.
Also in the city of Yagotyn in the Kyiv region, a man opened fire from a window of a high-rise building and damaged a neighbor’s car. The incident occurred on the afternoon of May 28.
