On the morning of October 2, Konotop in Sumy Oblast was left without electricity and water supply due to Russian shelling.

This was announced by the mayor of the city, Artem Semenikhin.

“Attention!!! In 10 minutes, electricity will disappear throughout the city! The reason is the katsaps. The goal is to give those who are without the light the opportunity to have it,” he explained.

In addition, Semenikhin added that the townspeople will also be left without water.

The timing of the outages and other details are currently unknown.

Earlier, the mayor wrote about the Russian shelling of Konotop. In particular, the occupiers attacked the city using strike drones. According to Semenikhin, there were no casualties.

Recall that Russian strikes on energy facilities in the Chernihiv region caused a network failure , as a result of which 307 thousand consumers were left without electricity.
