In Ternopil, the number of people killed in the shelling of a high-rise building has risen to 31: six of them are children

In Ternopil, rescuers continue emergency search and rescue operations at the site of a destroyed house that was damaged by enemy shelling. The death toll as of 12:00 on November 21 has risen to 31 people, including six children.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Rescuers pulled the bodies of three more people from the rubble — a woman and two children. The work has not stopped since the shelling, and all emergency services continue to operate non-stop.

According to law enforcement officials, 94 people were injured, including 18 children. Police psychologists and specialists from other services are working at the scene, providing emergency psychological assistance to citizens.

In parallel, the identification of the deceased is ongoing. Law enforcement officers and rescue units continue to search for people who are still missing.

Emergency services emphasize that work will continue until all procedures for searching and documenting the consequences of the shelling are completed.

As a reminder, on the night of November 19, Russian troops carried out a series of strikes on the western regions of Ukraine , in particular on Ternopil and Lviv regions.

As is known, 26 people died as a result of the attack on high-rise buildings in Ternopil, including three children . A search and rescue operation is still underway at the scene of the attack, and 22 people are being searched for.
