The new speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Czech Parliament, Tomio Okamura, ordered the removal of the Ukrainian flag that hung on the facade of the parliament.
He published the corresponding video on the social network X.
“The Ukrainian flag was just removed from the Chamber of Deputies building,” the politician wrote.
The released footage shows him holding a ladder for a man who is removing the blue-and-yellow banner.
“This is a certain symbol. The Ukrainian flag was removed from the building of the Czech Chamber of Deputies on my order, and it took a few seconds,” he told iDNES.cz .

It is worth noting that the flag of Ukraine was hung on the parliament building in 2022. This became a symbol of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
