In the Kharkiv region, law enforcement officers detained a 20-year-old man and his 15-year-old friend, suspected of raping a 14-year-old teenager and distributing a video recording of this

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this.

The investigation established that the victim, who had recently lost his mother, sometimes worked part-time for the older suspect. After a conflict over a broken mirror, the man and his friend began to systematically humiliate the boy.

In July, they met the teenager on the street, took him to an abandoned building and, under threat, forced him to perform sexual acts. The 20-year-old used force, and the 15-year-old filmed the event on his phone. The video later appeared on social media.

The older suspect is charged with rape, torture and production and distribution of child pornography, the younger one with rape. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. They face up to 12 years in prison.
