In the Kherson region, the enemy is trying to land attack aircraft on the islands: what is the Russians’ goal?

Russian occupation forces are trying to land their assault groups on a number of islands in the Kherson region.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.

“In the Dnieper direction, the enemy is now trying to land fighters and replace those who are there,” the military officer noted.

In particular, we are talking about the islands of Krugliy, Malyy, Belogrudyy, and Aleksievsky.

According to the spokesman, the enemy seeks to establish a logistical connection there and organize observation posts. However, the Defense Forces are destroying the plans of the occupiers.

It was previously reported that the Russians are transferring their assault groups to the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region in order to intensify attacks and take control of the island zone.

By the way, in the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units repelled two enemy attacks in the direction of the Antoniv Bridge.
