In the Kyiv region, in the Brovary district, a drunk driver hit a woman in a wheelchair, killing her.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police.

A traffic accident occurred in the village of Velyka Dymerka. According to preliminary data, a 50-year-old driver hit a woman in a wheelchair who was on the side of the road.

As a result of the accident, the victim received injuries and was hospitalized. She later died in the hospital.

Law enforcement officers detained the driver and placed him in a temporary detention center. He was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.1 ppm.

“Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Brovary District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the defendant of suspicion of violating traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated, which caused the death of the victim,” the report says.
