In the Kyiv region, a man shot and brutally beat an acquaintance during a conflict: details of the incident

Kyiv Region Police reported suspicion to a 30-year-old resident of Vyshgorod, who during a conflict beat his friend and shot him with a traumatic pistol. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect, who faces up to eight years in prison.

This is reported by the police of the Kyiv region.

The incident occurred near one of the city’s fitness clubs. Medics told police that they found a man with serious injuries on the street. Investigators determined that an argument broke out between the suspect and his 35-year-old acquaintance over a long-standing personal conflict, which quickly escalated into a fight.

In the midst of the fight, the attacker punched his opponent in the head and fired a shot from a traumatic weapon at him. The victim lost consciousness and fell to the ground, after which the attacker kicked him several more times.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and the attacker was promptly detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Physical evidence was seized from him.

Under the procedural guidance of the Vyshhorod District Prosecutor’s Office, the man was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional grievous bodily harm. The court chose for him a preventive measure in the form of detention. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, on the evening of August 31, a shooting occurred on Volodymyr Velyky Street in Lviv : two men were running after another when he pulled out a weapon and fired a shot.
