In Voznesensk, a 17-year-old motorcycle driver hit a 27-year-old woman who was crossing the road at an unregulated crossing. The victim died in a medical facility from her injuries.
This is reported by the National Police.
Today, November 14, at around 8:40 a.m., on Odeska Street, a minor driver of a Geon Dakar GNS 300 motorcycle was moving towards the central part of the city.
According to preliminary information, he hit a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway in the area of an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
After the collision, the woman was taken to a medical facility in serious condition, where she died from her injuries.
Police investigators have initiated criminal proceedings on the grounds of an offense under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to eight years of imprisonment with possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and are conducting the necessary investigative actions.
It was previously reported that a fatal road accident occurred in the village of Fedorivka, Rivne district. A pensioner couple died as a result of a collision between a passenger car and an SUV.
By the way, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the village of Myhalky in the Kyiv region, resulting in one person dying and six others being injured.
As a reminder, in Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle . The driver died in the accident, and the passenger was injured.
