In the Odessa region, a man attacked a TCC alert group with a knife: two servicemen are in serious condition

An armed attack occurred on servicemen of the territorial recruitment and social support center while performing their duties in the Podilskyi district of the Odessa region. As a result of the attack, two servicemen received multiple stab wounds and are in serious condition.

This is reported by the Odessa Regional CCC and SP.

According to the recruitment center, the incident occurred on May 10 in the village of Baibuzivka, Savran settlement community. The joint alert group, together with representatives of the National Police, stopped the citizen to check his military registration documents.

During the inspection, it was found that the man was wanted for violating military registration rules.

The CCC reported that while escorting a citizen to the territorial recruitment center to complete administrative materials, he attacked servicemen.

“Using a cold weapon, the attacker inflicted multiple knife wounds on two servicemen. Currently, both victims are hospitalized in a serious condition, doctors are fighting for their lives,” the report says.

The Odessa Regional CCC and the Joint Forces Operation stated that they consider the event to be a targeted attempt to kill servicemen.

“No circumstances can justify the commission of a particularly serious criminal offense against servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the CCC emphasized.

Law enforcement officers have launched an urgent investigation into the attack. The recruiting center said they will insist on bringing the perpetrator to justice under the maximum sanctions of Ukrainian law.

It was previously reported that in the Transcarpathian region, near the premises of the 2nd department of the Khust RTCC and SP in the village of Mizhhirya , an attempt to break into the territory of a military facility occurred . The CCC stated that the attack was localized, and journalist Vitaliy Glagola reported shooting during the incident.

By the way, in the Soborni district of Dnipro, a local resident opened fire on an alert group during events with the participation of representatives of the territorial recruitment and social support center.
