In the southern directions, the enemy has significantly increased the number of kamikaze drone strikes, in particular, almost 670 attacks were recorded there over the past 24 hours.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during the telethon.
According to him, in the Kherson direction alone, the Russian occupiers carried out 370 strikes with kamikaze drones.
“We recorded 200-220-250 daily before that and considered that to be a fairly large number,” the spokesman noted.
At the same time, in general, the Russians previously used kamikaze drones 400-450 times in the southern regions.
At the same time, the enemy continues to intensively use artillery for strikes, as well as using guided aerial bombs and unguided missiles.
In addition, Voloshyn informed about the course of the fighting, assuring that there were somewhat fewer of them in the South than in other directions.
He noted that the occupiers are carrying out attacks to try to control the island zone in the Dnieper Delta. The Russians are also trying to advance in the Orikhiv and Hulyaipil directions.
“The enemy is regrouping forces and assets, accumulating assault group personnel at forward positions in order to resume active assault operations in the future in a few days,” the spokesman explained.
It was previously reported that on the western section of the front in the Zaporizhia region, the Russian army has intensified its infantry offensive — active assaults were recorded along the line from Plavni to Shcherbaky.
