In the Ternopil region, CCC officials artificially increased the number of mobilized

In the Ternopil region, law enforcement officers exposed three heads of district CCCs who, according to the investigation, were inflating mobilization figures in their reports.

This was reported by the press center of the SBU.

According to the investigation, officials were not looking for new figures for reporting, but simply re-entered the data of people who had already been mobilized into the electronic register. After that, they were shown as new conscripts.

As a result, on paper, mobilization indicators looked better than they actually were.

The SBU says that in just one of the identified episodes, officials “added” more than 70 people to the reports in this way.

All three suspects have now been informed of the suspicion. They have been suspended from their positions while the investigation continues.

The investigation is ongoing. If the officials are found guilty in court, they could face up to six years in prison.

The operation was carried out by employees of the SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation with the participation of the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Field of Defense of the Western Region.

As previously reported, a 46-year-old man died in Ternopil on May 23 in the premises of the territorial recruitment center, who was taken to clarify his military registration data . Law enforcement officers are preliminary investigating the case as a suicide.

As a reminder, in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, police are investigating the beating of a veteran who, according to preliminary data, received injuries during a conflict with representatives of the alert group. According to information published on the Internet, the man was surrounded by people in balaclavas, after which one of them hit the veteran on the head, and the other used a gas canister.
