In Ukraine, children will be able to be forcibly evacuated without parental consent: in what cases

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada supported a bill according to which children can be evacuated without parental consent.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As noted, this is only possible in cases where the settlement is located in an area of active hostilities and the parents refuse the mandatory evacuation of their children.

“Evacuation to safe areas is carried out by the National Police with the subsequent transfer of children to guardianship and care authorities in safe areas,” the ministry explained.

Decisions on forced evacuation will be made by military administrations at the proposal of the military command and in agreement with the Coordination Headquarters for Evacuation Measures.

At the same time, there may be restrictions on entry and stay in the territories where evacuation is being carried out.

As a reminder, the Defense Council of the Kharkiv Region has decided to forcibly evacuate families with children from seven more villages.

By the way, in the Zaporizhia region, mandatory evacuation of children together with their parents or legal representatives from five settlements has been introduced .
