The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considering the possibility of turning off the mobile network or slowing down mobile internet during Russian air attacks .

This was reported by Suspilne, citing sources.

Currently, there are enough means to counter the enemy’s use of the Ukrainian network for drone navigation, but the situation may soon change.

“There is a point in such measures. How necessary it is depends on the specific situation and conditions. Therefore, it may be advisable in some cases to reduce the speed of mobile Internet to limit the operation of UAVs in FPV mode,” explained the interlocutor from the General Staff.

However, it all depends on the type of drones the Russians are using. According to the agency representative, UAVs without cameras do not require high-speed internet for data transmission, while drones equipped with video communication require high-speed information transmission.
