In Uzhgorod, a woman killed a soldier for three thousand dollars.

Law enforcement officers detained a 26-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia, suspected of treason and involvement in the death of a Ukrainian serviceman in Uzhgorod.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.

According to investigators, the woman acted on instructions from a Russian intelligence officer, with whom she communicated via instant messaging. For $3,000, she agreed to obtain information from the soldier’s phone. To do this, the suspect met him and established a trusting relationship.

Subsequently, following her handler’s instructions, she slipped an unknown substance into the man’s drink. The soldier then lost consciousness and died. According to investigators, the woman photographed the body and sent a report to her Russian handlers, then called an ambulance, attempting to stage an accident.

She was detained under Article 208 of the Russian Criminal Procedure Code. The court ordered her to be held in custody without bail. The investigation is currently ongoing, and forensic examinations have been ordered to establish all the circumstances.

If found guilty, the suspect faces life imprisonment.
