In Vinnytsia region, a man tried to fly across the border on a paraglider

In Vinnytsia Oblast, border guards from the Mogilev-Podolsk detachment detained a 48-year-old resident of Khmelnytsky Oblast who was planning to illegally cross the state border by flying over it on a paraglider.

The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this.

According to the State Tax Service, the man decided that he did not need documents or route planning, but instead relied on intuition and a “lucky landing.” For the start, he chose an open field near the border with Moldova, making an improvised runway out of it. He only had a paraglider with him, which he bought online for 500 euros.

Border guards stopped the escape attempt at the pre-flight stage. The offender was detained and brought to administrative responsibility.
