On Monday, August 11, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters.
He announced this in the Telegram channel.
During the meeting, the issues raised by the military at the front were discussed.
Procurement of equipment using funds from combat brigades
“The first is an absolutely clear decision regarding pickup trucks, ATVs, and other such equipment, which can now be purchased with direct funding for combat brigades. This will work, just like funds for brigades to purchase drones,” Zelenskyy said.
He also noted that this decision will provide the opportunity to purchase equipment that was already in use.
Increased funding for combat units and write-off of property
Zelenskyy instructed to significantly increase funding for combat units to make it fair. From now on, brigades will receive 7 million hryvnias for each battalion participating in combat operations.
The president also ordered to significantly simplify and digitalize the write-off of property in the military.
“The government will change the relevant documents, so corps commanders and brigade commanders will have more opportunities. We are also shortening the terms of decommissioning,” Zelenskyy added.
Changes in the award procedure
“Unfortunately, it often happens that the time between submitting an award and its actual presentation to a soldier is several months, six months, or even more. I instructed to shorten procedures as much as possible, remove unnecessary approvals and bureaucracy, and documents about the award will be modernized,” the President noted.
He reported that the Ministry of Defense has already developed proposals on how to do this and what to reduce. The changes will be implemented in the near future.
It was previously reported that starting September 1, all employees of the CCC and the SP are required to wear body cameras and conduct video recording during document checks or service of summonses .
