An “Indian summer” is coming to Ukraine. A gradual warming is expected on October 21. Forecasters predict that daytime temperatures in most regions will range from +9°C to +13°C, with highs reaching +15°C in the west and south. Cool weather will persist in the northeastern regions, with daytime highs of only +7°C to +9°C in some places.

Forecaster Natalia Didenko reported this on her Telegram channel.

Overnight, frosts of 0 to -5°C are expected in western regions, while temperatures in the rest of the country will range from +1 to +6°C. Localized frosts down to -3°C are possible during clearings.

Precipitation on October 21 is forecast primarily for the eastern regions, as well as Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Poltava. Other regions will see no significant rainfall, and sunny skies are even expected in the west.

The capital will see no precipitation on Tuesday. Nighttime temperatures will be between 2°C and 6°C, with daytime temperatures rising to around 10°C. According to Didenko, temperatures in Kyiv are expected to gradually rise over the course of the week.

As a reminder, the weather in the Carpathians recently changed dramatically – Ukraine’s most famous ski resort, Bukovel, was hit by snowfall . The resort’s webcams showed the slopes blanketed in white, and temperatures dropping to below freezing.

We also previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is preparing to launch a new social program, “Warm Winter,” which will provide a one-time payment of 6,500 hryvnias to certain categories of citizens to support them during the 2025/26 winter season.
