The Spartan National Guard unit has received the Ukrainian Inguar-3 armored vehicle, manufactured by Inguar Defence – a batch of these vehicles was contracted by the state at the end of last year for two law enforcement agencies.

This was reported by the information and analytical group autoconsulting.com.ua.

The Inguar-3 model, developed in 2023, belongs to a new generation of modular tactical armored platforms. The design provides for separate front and rear armored capsules, which allows for quick changes in the chassis configuration – from an assault version to a pickup truck or a heavy weapons carrier.

The vehicle’s armor is combined: it combines aluminum and steel plates, and the aluminum elements are modular for quick replacement in the field. The manufacturer declares a level of protection according to the STANAG 4569 standard – 3a/3b, which corresponds to withstanding hits from armor-piercing bullets of 7.62×51 mm caliber and shrapnel from 155 mm shells at a distance of about 60 meters.

The Inguar-3 mine protection is designed to detonate the equivalent of an anti-tank high-explosive mine weighing 8 kg of TNT (analogous to the Soviet TM-62). The designers paid special attention to protecting the engine compartment from debris and detonations.

The chassis has a frame structure and independent suspension with planetary gearboxes. The power plant is based on a Deutz diesel engine with a capacity of 356 hp (torque – 1500 N·m), which works in conjunction with an Allison automatic transmission.

Thanks to its modularity and protective characteristics, Inguar-3 is positioned as a universal tactical platform capable of quickly adapting to various combat missions and operating conditions.

It was also previously reported thatthe SBU counterintelligence brigadier general with the call sign “Hunter” presented a new generation of Sea Baby surface unmanned platforms and announced the possibility of equipping them with missile weapons.

At the same time, it recently became known that the Ukrainian company “General Chereshnya” presented a drone capable of countering Russian strike drones – “anti-shahed”.
