The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has reduced the bail of MP and head of the Batkivshchyna faction Yulia Tymoshenko from 33 million to 266 thousand hryvnias. She is suspected of offering bribes to MPs in exchange for votes in the Verkhovna Rada.
This is reported by “Ukrainian Pravda” .
During the court hearing, Tymoshenko stated that the previous bail amount was excessive and disproportionate. She also recalled that in July, the Supreme Court of Justice refused to extend the term of the procedural obligations imposed on her.
According to the deputy, after the abolition of these restrictions, there is no reason to keep the deposit in such a significant amount.
Tymoshenko stressed that she is properly fulfilling her procedural obligations and cooperating with the investigation and the court. She also asked to return the money to the people who posted bail for her, explaining this by changes in their life circumstances. According to her, some of the bailiffs need the money for treatment, others have lost their homes or incurred expenses related to assets.
Among those who posted bail for the deputy:
- Oksana Fatisova — 8 million hryvnias;
- Olena Bondarenko — 3.8 million hryvnias;
- Liliya Zykova — 3.2 million hryvnias;
- Yevhen Zykov — 4.3 million hryvnias;
- Konstantin Bondarev — 5 million hryvnias.
