North Korea has transferred half as much artillery ammunition to Russia this year as it did in 2024, and this may indicate a rapid depletion of its reserves.
This was stated by Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skybitsky in a comment to Reuters
Skibitsky said that since 2023, Pyongyang has sent about 6.5 million artillery shells to Russia, but Ukrainian intelligence did not record any deliveries in September. In October, North Korea did make several shipments, but about half of the ammunition turned out to be so outdated that Russian factories are forced to update them.
The GUR representative also reported that the DPRK has launched mass production of small FPV drones and medium-range attack drones on its own territory. According to him, North Korea is actively analyzing the experience of the war in Ukraine and trying to expand its own capabilities.
It was previously reported that the Russian economy is in a state of systemic decline, which even official reports can no longer mask.
