Former intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky linked the rapid occupation of Kherson and Mariupol to the actions of the state leadership on the eve of a full-scale invasion. The officer is convinced that personnel decisions and ignoring intelligence reports were part of a plan to return Ukraine to Russian influence.

In a comment to “Pryamoy”, he emphasized that it was the “home front” that created the conditions for the tragic events of 2022.

“It was Yermak who forbade them to report to President Zelensky about the war, not to prepare. It was Yermak, you remember, who demined Chongar together with Vereshchuk,” Chervinsky claims.

He also added that troops were specifically removed from dangerous offensive areas, and citizens were urged to stay home instead of preparing for defense.

Chervinsky noted that while intelligence agencies were trying to warn of the threat, individual officials were focused on building their own multimillion-dollar estates. The officer urged the public to closely monitor the investigation of intelligence activities before the start of a major war.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have exposed an organized group suspected of legalizing 460 million hryvnias in an elite construction project near Kyiv. The suspicion was reported to one of the participants in the scheme, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The name of the person involved is not officially disclosed. However, according to media reports, it is Andriy Yermak .

It later became known that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Courtdid not choose a preventive measure for the former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak on May 12. Lawyer Igor Fomin asked to postpone the hearing because the defense did not have time to familiarize itself with the case materials.

Meanwhile, the European Commission commented on the case of former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, who is suspected of involvement in money laundering. They emphasized that it is such investigations that show that anti-corruption authorities in Ukraine are working.
