Iran confirms death of large number of officials

Iran has officially confirmed the death of the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) missile program and seven other high-ranking officers in an Israeli strike.

This was reported by the Times of Israel .

Among the dead were General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the IRGC’s aerospace division, and his closest deputies: Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Sheikhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayeb, Khosro Hasani and Javad Jarsara.

Iran has not explained why all these officials were in one place. According to preliminary reports from Israeli sources, the intelligence services carried out a disinformation operation, forcing the leadership of the Iranian air force to gather for a joint meeting. According to Fox News , the operation exceeded expectations in terms of effectiveness and scale of destruction.

The event is likely to be one of the most painful losses for Iran’s defense command in recent years.

Let us recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army began a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.

Earlier it became known that Iran refused to participate in negotiations with the United States regarding its nuclear program, scheduled for June 15 .
