Iran allowed “friendly” countries that were not involved in the war in the Middle East to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
This was written by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
“For some that we have identified as our friendly countries, we have allowed passage through the Strait of Hormuz,” the message said.
This applies in particular to China, Russia, India, Iraq and Pakistan.
“There is no reason to allow our enemy to pass through the Strait of Hormuz,” Aragchi added.
Separately, the minister stated that the conflict in the Middle East is “not an Iranian war, and not a US war.” According to him, the United States was most likely pushed into the attacks by Israel.
“The US puts Israel’s security first, and its bases in the region are designed to protect Tel Aviv. Washington is ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of Israel’s security,” the head of the department concluded.
Earlier it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf , a key route for oil supplies from the Middle East. The movement of oil tankers in the strait has been effectively halted, and ships have reduced their speed to zero.
As is known, in his first statement, the new leader of Iran emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed . According to him, this is pressure on Israel and the United States.
As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time , Europe wants to open the Strait of Hormuz , creating an analogue of the “grain corridor” in Ukraine.
