Iran launches missile strike on UAE: oil field on fire in Fujairah

Iran attacked the United Arab Emirates with four missiles. Three of them were shot down by air defense forces over the country’s territorial waters, and another fell into the sea.

This was reported by the UAE Ministry of Defense.

The agency confirmed that the sounds of explosions heard by residents of various regions of the country were the result of the successful interception of air targets.

The Ministry of Defense also urged citizens to use only official sources of information, check facts, and adhere to all safety measures.

At 7:05 p.m., the Fujairah city authorities reported that a large fire broke out in the oil production area after an Iranian drone attack.

Civil defense units are working on the scene, and rescuers are trying to localize the fire.

Euronews journalists also reported hearing explosions over Dubai.

According to CNN, citing a source in the UAE, in the next 24 hours, Israel and the US may launch massive strikes on Iran in response to the attack on the Emirates.

The TV channel’s interlocutor called it a “deadly response” to Tehran’s missile strike.

It was previously reported that after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the single decision-making center in Iran effectively disappeared, and key influence passed to the military leadership and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Recall that Tehran does not plan to participate in a new round of negotiations with the United States amid the aggravation of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz .
