US President Donald Trump said that Iran is ready to de-escalate the situation amid the escalating conflict with Israel.

He said this while talking to journalists, Ukrinform reports .

“They would like to talk. But they should have done it sooner,” Trump said when asked by reporters about what he had heard from mediators about Iran seeking de-escalation.

At the same time, the American president recalled that he had given Iran 60 days to conclude an agreement.

“Iran will not win this war, and they must negotiate, they must negotiate now, before it’s too late,” Trump concluded.

The airstrike on Tehran killed more than 70 people, including at least 20 high-ranking military personnel .

By the way, Iran called negotiations with the US “pointless” after Israel’s missile strikes on its nuclear facilities.
