Iran said the parties had not reached any agreement on the details of the nuclear program, and serious negotiations were needed to overcome the differences.
This was reported by Reuters, citing a senior Iranian official.
According to him, the situation around the Strait of Hormuz will depend on whether the US adheres to the terms of the ceasefire.
Tehran hopes that a preliminary agreement will be reached in the coming days, mediated by Pakistan. It could include an extension of the ceasefire to create conditions for further negotiations.
Iran expects that the next step will be to discuss the lifting of sanctions and receiving compensation for war damages.
At the same time, Tehran declares its readiness to provide the international community with guarantees of the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
The Iranian official also emphasized that other versions of the course of the negotiations do not correspond to the real situation.
It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump said that the country’s naval forces would soon begin the process of blocking ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz.
As a reminder, the US is considering a deal with Iran to exchange enriched uranium for the release of financial assets . The parties are discussing the details of the agreement, including the terms of control over the nuclear program.
