Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran would return to talks on its nuclear program only under certain conditions.
This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to AFP.
It is noted that the heads of European foreign policy departments have called on Iran to return to the negotiation process with the United States, however, Araqchi noted that Israel must first stop its strikes.
“Iran is ready to reconsider diplomatic measures once the aggression is stopped and the aggressor is held accountable for the crimes committed,” he stressed.
However, the Iranian official did not provide details on holding Israel accountable.
“We support the continuation of negotiations with the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the European Union and express our readiness for new meetings in the near future,” he assured.
As a reminder, Iran called negotiations with the US “pointless” after Israel’s missile strikes on its nuclear facilities.
Iran previously refused to participate in negotiations with the United States regarding its nuclear program, scheduled for June 15.
