Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has rejected proposals for a ceasefire and easing tensions with the United States.

This was reported by Reuters , citing an Iranian official.

According to the source, during the first meeting on foreign policy issues , Khamenei’s position on the US and Israel remained “ tough and serious.”

He insists on the continuation of the conflict and considers any peace negotiations premature .

“Until the US and Israel are defeated and agree to compensation ,”  The agency’s interlocutor conveys the leader’s position .

At the same time , it remains unknown whether Khamenei personally participated in the meeting.

At the same time , CNN reported that US President Donald Trump does not plan to resume negotiations with Iran.

According to the TV channel, Washington doubts the authority of the new Iranian leader, despite Tehran’s attempts to establish contact through a special envoy.

Earlier it was reported that, against the backdrop of the third week of the US military operation against Iran, allies are pressuring United States President Donald Trump to explain the goals and timing of the end of the conflict .
