Ireland allocates 125 million euros to Ukraine: what will the funds be used for?
Ireland has announced another aid package worth 125 million euros to Ukraine. The funds will go to support defense and restore the energy sector, which has suffered from Russian strikes.
This is reported by The Guardian.
Of this amount, Ireland will allocate €100 million to non-lethal military support, including strengthening protection against nighttime missile and drone attacks. Another €25 million is intended to strengthen energy infrastructure, which is critically important at a time of systematic Russian attacks on energy facilities.
This decision was the result of the first official visit of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olena Zelenska to Ireland. Prime Minister Michał Martin stated that the country will continue to support Ukraine with real actions.
As previously reported, the Dutch parliament has decided to allocate an additional 2 billion euros to Ukraine in 2026.
