Iryna Gerashchenko: we will not allow manipulation of the electoral process

“European Solidarity” delegates MPs Ruslan Knyazevych and Viktoria Siumar to the working group on the preparation of comprehensive legislative proposals on the specifics of the procedure for organizing and holding elections in the conditions of a special period and/or post-war elections in Ukraine.

This was announced on social networks by the co-chair of the faction, Iryna Gerashchenko .

“Our position is unchanged – now we need to focus on issues of peace in Ukraine, elections during the hot phase of the war are impossible. At the same time, there are indeed many issues related to post-war elections, in particular, organizing them abroad, and the participation of the military in them. We are categorically against online voting and will clearly monitor all attempts to make any changes that would contribute to fraud,” the MP notes.

“Our representatives will remind the authorities that they are already distorting reality through the marathon and anonymous Telegram channels, which form a distorted information picture and work to systematically discredit political forces opposing Bankova. We will not allow manipulation of the electoral process,” emphasizes Iryna Gerashchenko.

As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada has begun the process of forming a working group to quickly study the issue of holding potential presidential elections in Ukraine during martial law.

As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko, in an interview with journalist Vitaly Portnikov, stated that elections during martial law are impossible.
