US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States is not yet planning new attacks on Iran’s nuclear program facilities.
He said this on CBS News.
“There are currently no military operations planned against Iran,” Rubio assured.
He added that it would take several days to determine whether Iran had managed to move some of its nuclear materials before the US strike.
At the same time, Rubio noted that Washington is ready to conclude a new nuclear agreement with Tehran, emphasizing that Iran must agree to the corresponding proposal.
“They thought they were dealing with a different type of leader, similar to the leaders they had been playing games with for the last 30 or 40 years. They found out that wasn’t the case. What happens next will now depend on what Iran decides to do next,” the US Secretary of State said.
As he noted, if Tehran chooses the “path of diplomacy,” it will get a deal that is beneficial to the Iranian people and good for the world.
Recall that the United States Air Force attacked Iran’s nuclear infrastructure , including the most protected facility in Fordow.
At the same time , Donald Trump’s administration is preparing for a potential response from Iran in the next 48 hours.
By the way, the Yemeni Houthis have entered the war in the Middle East and announced attacks in the Red Sea if the US intervenes in the conflict with Iran.
Later, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said that the United States’ strikes had succeeded in destroying Iran’s nuclear program .
