The bulk carrier “PANORMITIS”, which was transporting grain from occupied Berdyansk, was unable to unload in either Israel or Turkey. After unsuccessful attempts, the ship is returning to Russia.
This is reported by BlackSeaNews.
According to the publication, the bulk carrier “PANORMITIS” has entered the Dardanelles and is heading to one of the Russian Black Sea ports. The ship may probably dock in the Caucasus or Novorossiysk.
Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center, reported that on April 25, the ship was heading to Haifa, Israel, with grain exported from occupied Berdyansk. However, the Israeli agro-trader refused to accept the cargo.
After that, the bulk carrier tried to unload in Iskenderun, Turkey, but the grain was not accepted there either.
According to Jaresko, the return of the “PANORMITIS” to the Black Sea may indicate an attempt to resell the grain consignment through another port or a new buyer.
It was previously reported that the Panormitis vessel, which is transporting grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, is awaiting permission to enter the Turkish port of Iskenderun after Israel refused.
As a reminder, Ukraine has thwarted another attempt by Russia to legalize grain illegally exported from the temporarily occupied territories. Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine appealed to Israel through the Panormitis ship, which is transporting grain from the temporarily occupied territories.
