Israel attacked Iran’s intelligence ministry: at least four officials were killed, panic broke out in the department

On Saturday, Western airstrikes targeted the headquarters of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security in Tehran, killing at least four senior officials and sending panic through the agency.

According to a senior Western security official, the strike targeted the leadership of Iran’s main intelligence agency, the Ministry of Intelligence and Security. The source noted that a significant portion of the service’s “senior ranks” were eliminated, including the heads of counterterrorism and counterintelligence units.
Among the dead are:
- Jalal Pour Hossein, head of counterintelligence;
- Ali Khorandish, head of counterterrorism;
- Seyid Yahya Hamedi, Chief of Staff;
- another high-ranking commander.
According to a security official, the strikes have effectively paralyzed the work of Iran’s intelligence services. “Everything is falling apart there – we can see it and feel it,” he said.
It is separately noted that as part of the large-scale operation, US forces struck Iranian missile sites, air defense systems, and command centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while Israel focused on the regime’s leadership facilities.
In response, Iran launched hundreds of missile and drone attacks on targets in the region, including facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. Most of the missiles were intercepted.
As of Saturday morning, there were no reports of any US military casualties or injuries, and damage to American facilities was estimated to be minimal.
