Israel comes under rocket fire from Iran after Trump’s ceasefire announcement: there are deaths and injuries
Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward Israel on the morning of June 24. The attack came shortly after former US President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between Iran and Israel.
This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
One of the rockets hit a residential building in the city of Beersheba. According to preliminary data, at least eight people were killed, several others are in serious condition, and seven received minor injuries. People remain trapped under the rubble. Rescuers and medics are working at the scene.
Several more missiles were fired from Iran, and air raid sirens were sounded in many Israeli cities. Residents were urged to stay in shelters.
The Israeli Air Force said it was taking measures to intercept the missiles and retaliating against enemy targets.
Recall, on Monday, June 23, Iran fired several missiles at American military bases in the Middle East in response to US strikes on Tehran’s nuclear program facilities.
On the evening of June 23 , the Pentagon confirmed Iran’s missile attack on the US Al-Udeid military base in Qatar.
As reported, the Qatari Foreign Ministry stated that it reserves the right to attack Iran in response to its violation of Qatari airspace.
In addition, Iran’s Foreign Minister traveled to Moscow toask Vladimir Putin for additional assistance following the US attacks on nuclear facilities.
By the way, in cities across the United States , mass protests took place in response to US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities . The demonstrations were held under the slogans “No war with Iran” and “Money for education, not missiles.”
