Today, March 3, the Israeli military announced the destruction of an Iranian nuclear facility located on the outskirts of Tehran.

This was reported by The Times of Israel.

An Israel Defense Forces spokeswoman said the Minzadeh facility was located partially underground, where a group of nuclear scientists allegedly worked secretly to develop components needed for nuclear weapons.

As noted, after the 12-day war in June 2025, Iran did not cease its “military nuclear activities.” However, to protect the facilities, infrastructure began to be moved underground.

However, the IDF managed to establish a new location for the scientists’ work — and strike at the facility.

“Using intelligence, the Israel Defense Forces monitored activities at this new location, depriving the Iranian regime of the ability to develop nuclear weapons,” the report said.

Earlier, Iran’s ambassador to the UN nuclear organization stated that a nuclear facility was hit during a military operation by the US and Israel .

Recall that on February 28, Israel launched preemptive strikes on Iran, as well as attacked Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon . A state of emergency was declared throughout the country.

It later emerged that the strikes on Iran were a joint operation between Israel and the US . After that, US President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States had launched a military campaign in Iran .
