Israel eliminated the chief of the Iranian General Staff – media

A senior Iranian general, appointed to the position after his predecessor was killed in Israel’s first strikes on Iran, was killed in an airstrike yesterday, the military said.

This is reported by The Times of Israel.

Major General Ali Shadmani led the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, also known as Iran’s Military Emergency Command, for about four days.

Shadmani replaced Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, who was killed on Friday in Israel’s first strikes on Iran.

The Israel Defense Forces claims that Shadmani was effectively Iran’s top military commander, the “Chief of Military Staff,” and was considered the closest military figure to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

“He commanded both the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian Armed Forces,” the Israel Defense Forces said.

The military claims that under Shadmani’s command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters was “responsible for directing combat operations and approving Iran’s attack plans.”

“In his various positions, he had a direct influence on Iran’s offensive plans against the State of Israel,” the Israel Defense Forces said.

The Iranian Defense Army claims that Shadmani previously served as deputy chief of staff of the Khatam al-Anbiya and chief of operations in the Iranian armed forces.

Recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.

As reported, more than 70 people were killed in an airstrike carried out by Israel on the Iranian capital, Tehran.

In addition, as a result of the Iranian attack on Israel on June 14, a family of Ukrainians from Odessa died.

By the way, US President Donald Trump said that Iran is ready to de-escalate the situation amid the escalating conflict with Israel.
