On Thursday, September 25, the Israeli military attacked the city of Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. A number of Houthi military facilities were hit.
This is stated in the Reuters material and the IDF statement .
It is noted that the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of strikes on the headquarters of the military command authority, units of the security and intelligence apparatus, the military public relations headquarters, and camps where weapons were stored.
The IDF stressed that the shelling was in response to “the Houthi terrorist regime’s repeated attacks on the State of Israel and its civilians,” including drone and missile launches.
At the same time, Reuters notes that the series of strikes came a day after reports of a drone attack on a hotel in the Israeli resort of Eilat on the Red Sea, injuring at least 20 people.
In their statement, the Israeli military announced new offensive operations against the Houthi regime, which will take place in the near future.
“The Houthi terrorist regime operates under the direction and funding of Iran to harm the State of Israel and its allies. The regime uses the maritime domain to project power and carry out terrorist activities against global shipping and trade routes,” the Israeli army summarized.
Previously, Yemeni Houthis, who are supported by Iran, attacked Israel , in particular, a ballistic missile hit the territory of Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
