US President Donald Trump has vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
This was reported by Reuters, citing two American officials.
“Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do, we’re not even talking about pursuing the political leadership,” one of the interlocutors assured.
According to officials, Israel reported that it had the ability to eliminate a top Iranian leader. However, Trump did not support their plan.
At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there is a lot of false information “about conversations that never happened.”
“We do what we need to do, we will do what we need to do. And I think the United States knows what is good for the United States,” he assured.
Recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.
By the way, Donald Trump said that the United States was not involved in Israel’s latest attack on Iran , which occurred on the night of June 15.
