Israeli forces struck Iran’s largest petrochemical complex in the Asaluyeh area, which is key to the country’s energy sector.

Reuters reports this.

According to Iranian sources, several explosions were heard in the area of the South Pars complex. The objects that provide the enterprises with electricity, water, and oxygen were hit.

At the same time, representatives of the Pars petrochemical company stated that the main production facilities were not damaged.

After the attack in the Asaluyeh area, power was cut off at all petrochemical facilities.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed the strike. This is not the first attack on Iran’s energy infrastructure: in March, Israeli forces struck the South Pars gas field in the same region.

The strike then hit Iran’s key energy source and provoked Tehran’s response in the form of attacks on energy facilities in the region.

It was previously reported that Israel is ready to continue its military campaign against Iran for several more weeks.

As a reminder, Iranian media reports that the US and Israel have struck energy infrastructure in Isfahan and Khorramshahr .
